Technical requirements for using the Bosch Smart Home System
Bosch Smart Home App
OS versions:
- Android: 8.0 and higher
- iOS: 15.5 and higher
- Beta versions of iOS and Android are not supported
Discontinued versions:
Support for iOS Version 15 will be discontinued with the November 2024 release.
The current app can still be used on these devices. However, you will no longer receive any updates.
Using partners via the Bosch Smart Home Cloud (Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Mercedes MBUX):
An update to release 10.21.2 must be carried out in order to use these partners.
We anticipate that from the end of June 2024, it will no longer be possible to use the Smart Home Cloud for the Bosch Smart Home controller and Bosch Smart Home controller II with a software version lower than 10.21.2.
Further system requirements:
- Free LAN port on the router for connecting and setting up the Smart Home Controller
- WLAN for local access from smartphone/tablet to the controller
- Mobile service for remote access from smartphone/tablet to the controller
- Smartphone: Bosch Smart System App
- Internet speed: At least 1 Mbit upstream
- Android: installed Google Play Services
Bosch Smart Camera App
OS versions:
- Android: 8.0 and higher
- iOS: 14.0 and higher
Version discontinuation:
- Versions of the Smart Camera app that are older than version 2.4.0 will no longer be supported from 11 June 2024.
- Discontinuation of support for all Android versions older than Android 8 with the March 2024 release.

- WLAN; 2.4 GHz radio frequency with WPA2 encryption

- Internet speed: min. 6 Mbit downstream / 1 Mbit upstream
