The display sometimes flickers. What is this (Bosch Smart Home Twist, information)?
45 seconds after an interaction or status change, the display image of the Bosch Smart Home Twist is refreshed. This is to avoid the so-called "ghosting" effect. This is when you see fragments of letters and symbols on the display that should not be there.

Direct sunlight can lead to these pixel errors. They should disappear after an automatic display refresh (45 seconds after an interaction or status change, the display image of the Bosch Smart Home Twist is automatically refreshed).

"Connection lost" appears on the display after an entry. What can I do (Bosch Smart Home Twist, range, signal strength)?
The signal strength between your Twist and the Smart Home controller is weak. Possible causes may be:
- There are too many walls between the appliances.
- The walls between the appliances are too solid.
- The distance between the devices is too great.
Our recommendations:
- Avoid obstacles between the devices.
- Reduce the distance between the devices.

The display reacts slowly to inputs. Why is this the case (Bosch Smart Home Twist)?
This behavior results from the e-paper technology used. Due to the energy-saving design, the display only consumes power when the display is changed. However, this only happens slowly.
I see fragments of symbols, lettering or stripes on the display, which is not actually active. Have they been burned in (Bosch Smart Home Twist)?
Wait about 3 minutes, the display refreshes about every 45 seconds. If you want to be on the safe side, briefly remove the batteries and press the buttons on the Twist. Then reinsert the batteries. The display is now refreshed - the fragments should have disappeared.
If you have any further questions or problems with the integration, accessibility or use of the device, please do not hesitate to contact ourCustomer supportreport.
The battery indicator does not show the battery status. What am I doing wrong (Bosch Smart Home Twist, empty battery)?
This behavior could be due to the fact that you are not using alkaline batteries. In this case, please ensure that you only use alkaline batteries.
The battery indicator does not show the battery status. What does this mean (Bosch Smart Home Twist, defect, warranty)?
This error also manifests itself in the fact that the last function is visible in the Twist, the connection is bad according to the app, but the Twist cannot be operated and appears frozen.
It is possible that the tabs in the battery compartment of the Twist, which are attached to the positive/negative pole of the battery, have been bent when it falls down. This is manifested, for example, by the batteries sliding back and forth in the Twist. Please try to bend the tabs back up slightly with a pin or similar.

The Twist often loses the connection to the Smart Home controller. What can I do (connection, range, installation)?
The initial situation is as follows: The Twist loses the connection to the Smart Home controller quite frequently (represented by a corresponding symbol on the Twist, among other things).
One possible cause may be that the ZigBee and Wi-Fi signals overlap, as ZigBee and Wi-Fi use the 2.4 GHz frequency band at the same time. If this is the case, the connection may be interrupted. Please therefore check which channel your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi is running on. It is recommended that you only use channels 1, 6 or 11 for Wi-Fi:
1. if the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi is on channel 1, we recommend switching to channel 6 or 11.
2. if it is on channel 6, switch to either channel 1 or 11.
3. if it is set to channel 11, we recommend changing to channel 1 or 6.
We would like to point out that changing the Wi-Fi channel can lead to performance problems. Normally, the "automatically set" channel is sufficient, but can unfortunately interfere with the ZigBee signal under certain circumstances.
