When delivered, the Bosch Smart Home Outdoor siren is set to "Smart" mode. Therefore, without a Bosch Smart Home controller, no alarm sound is triggered if the Outdoor siren is sabotaged.
The operating mode must be changed so that the Outdoor siren triggers an alarm tone in conjunction with a classic alarm system and flashes red as soon as the tear-off contact is triggered.
To do this, open the cover of the connection compartment on the back of the Outdoor siren. Now set the DIP switch 8 to the "Legacy" position.

7. set the on/off switch to "On".
8. close the cover of the battery compartment, place the siren back on the mounting plate and tighten the locking screw.
9. if necessary, reactivate the "Alarm system" function in the Bosch Smart Home System and/or your classic alarm system.

Please proceed as follows:
1. disarm your existing burglar alarm system first.
2. deactivate the Bosch Smart Home alarm system in your Bosch Smart Home app.
3. go to device management and remove the relevant Outdoor siren from your Bosch Smart Home app.
4. loosen the locking screw on the underside of the siren and remove the siren from the mounting plate.
5. open the cover of the battery compartment. Set the on/off switch to Off.
6. press and hold the reset button and switch the device on. Continue to hold it down until the status LED flashes orange.
7. release and now press and hold the reset button again until the status LED lights up green. You can now release the button again.
If the status LED lights up red, repeat the process or contact support.
If DIP switch 1 is set to "Legacy", the settings of the other DIP switches are still valid. If necessary, reset all DIP switches to their factory settings.
If you operate the siren with 5-28VDC, deactivate the power supply before performing the reset.
