My Yale Linus® Smart Lock with Yale Connect WiFi Bridge* had a previous owner. How can I reset it to the factory settings (settings, requirements)?
Yale Linus® Smart Locks with Yale Connect WiFi Bridge* that have been previously used must be reset to factory settings before they can be set up by a new owner. If you want to set up a used device that has not been reset to factory settings before you purchased it, Yale must first obtain permission from the previous owner before you can successfully reset the device.
It may take up to 30 days for the previous owner to respond to your request. If you have purchased the lock directly from another person or a third-party provider, you can contact them and ask them to reset the device to speed up the process. Once the device has been reset to factory settings, you will receive a notification and can continue setting up the device.

I use the Yale Linus® Smart Lock with Yale Connect WiFi Bridge* in my Bosch Smart Home system. How does the "Access control" service work (settings, requirements, services)?
To be able to use the Yale Linus® Smart Lock with the "Access Control" service, you need the Bosch Smart Home System and a Bosch Smart Home outdoor camera, which is mounted next to the Yale Connect WiFi Bridge*. As soon as the Bosch Smart Home outdoor camera detects movement, you will be notified via your smartphone. If you click on the notification, you will see the live stream directly in your Bosch Smart Home app. You have the option of talking to and seeing the visitor. You can now use the Unlock button to open the door for your visitor. Please note that some of the functions listed may not be available at the start of the Yale Linus® Smart Lock with Yale Connect WiFi Bridge* in the Bosch Smart Home system.
I use the Yale Linus® Smart Lock with Yale Connect WiFi Bridge* in my Bosch Smart Home system. What advantages do I have with regard to the alarm system (settings, requirements, services, automations)?
By integrating your Yale Linus® Smart Lock with Yale Connect WiFi Bridge* into your Bosch Smart Home system, the alarm system can be automatically deactivated and activated: As soon as the door is locked, the Yale Linus® Smart Lock with Yale Connect WiFi Bridge* sends a message to your Bosch Smart Home controller. This then automatically activates the Bosch Smart Home alarm system. The same applies, of course, when you unlock the Yale Linus® Smart Lock with Yale Connect WiFi Bridge*. The alarm system is then automatically deactivated.
To make these settings, you must connect the Yale Linus® Smart Lock with Yale Connect WiFi Bridge* to the Bosch Smart Home alarm system in the automations (under "Scenarios"). This means that you create the Yale Linus® Smart Lock with Yale Connect WiFi Bridge* as an "If" function. For example, "IF Yale Linus® Smart Lock with Yale Connect WiFi Bridge* is locked" "THEN activate alarm system".
Please note that some of the functions listed may not be available when starting the Yale Linus® Smart Lock with Yale Connect WiFi Bridge* in the Bosch Smart Home System.
How can I use my Yale Linus® Smart Lock with Yale Connect WiFi Bridge* to open the door (settings, installation, requirements)?
The lock latch can only be retracted on doors that have a knob on the outside of the door. Doors with a handle on the outside are excluded from this function. Check in the Yale HOME app whether the lock has been configured with a handle. If so, this must be changed in the Yale HOME app. Reset the lock to the factory settings, delete it from the Bosch Smart Home app, then learn it again, configure it according to the desired settings and reconnect it to the Bosch Smart Home app.
I have paired the Yale Linus® Smart Lock with Yale Connect WiFi Bridge* to my Bosch Smart Home alarm system. When I open the lock, the Bosch Smart Home alarm system should be deactivated. Unfortunately, the alarm still goes off. What can I do (settings, installation, requirements)?
The response time of your Bosch Smart Home system may be too long. The system needs a certain amount of time to deactivate the alarm system once the lock has been unlocked. The response time varies from system to system and depends, among other things, on how many products you have integrated into the Bosch Smart Home system.
This could be remedied by increasing the deactivation time in the respective alarm profile in the alarm system. Another possibility could be that you have activated the auto-lock settings in the Yale HOME app. This means that the lock always locks automatically. You can adjust this via the Yale HOME app.
You can also remedy this in the Bosch Smart Home app. Deselect the "Auto-Lock" locking type under the automations when activating the alarm system for the "when lock is locked" trigger. This means that the alarm system is not activated when the lock is locked via Auto-Lock.
Please note that some of the functions listed for starting the Yale Linus® Smart Lock with Yale Connect WiFi Bridge* may not be available in the Bosch Smart Home System.
I use the Yale Linus® Smart Lock with Yale Connect WiFi Bridge* in my Bosch Smart Home system. Can I activate and deactivate the Yale Linus® Smart Lock with Yale Connect WiFi Bridge* on a time-controlled basis (settings, requirements, services, automations)?

With the help of automation in the Bosch Smart Home app, you can close the Yale Linus® Smart Lock with Yale Connect WiFi Bridge* depending on the time of day. Please note that some of the functions listed may not be available when starting the Yale Linus® Smart Lock with Yale Connect WiFi Bridge* in the Bosch Smart Home System.

Why is "unlock/unlock" not offered as an action for scenarios & automations (lock, Yale Linus® Smart Lock with Yale Connect WiFi Bridge*, settings)?
For security reasons, the "unlock/unlock" function is not offered as an action for scenarios & automations. If a knob is fitted on the outside of the door, the lock is calibrated so that the latch is retracted when the door is unlocked and the door springs open. If this is stiff, under tension or pushed open by a draught, for example, the lock can no longer be locked.
Applies to automations, but also to scenarios, as scenarios can also be integrated into automations as actions.
