Why is the Bosch Smart Home Door/window contact II plus not available as a [+M] variant?
Reason:
The Matter standard does not currently support a vibration sensor. It is therefore not possible to offer this device as a [+M] variant. Bosch Smart Home has no influence on the Matter standard.
What does that mean for you?
Limitations of the standard: The Matter standard does not currently support vibration sensors, which limits the availability of the Door/window contact II plus as a [+M] variant.
What can you do?
Bosch Smart Home controller: For the full range of functions, use a Bosch Smart Home controller.
Why am I being asked to activate Bluetooth when programming my Bosch Smart Home Door/window contact II [+M]?
Reason:
If the Bosch Smart Home Door/window contact II [+M] is taught to a Bosch Smart Home controller, the wireless standard is automatically switched from Thread to Zigbee via Bluetooth. To do this, Bluetooth must be switched on on the smartphone used.
What does that mean for you?
Automatic change: The wireless standard is changed automatically from Thread to Zigbee via Bluetooth.
Bluetooth required: Your smartphone must have Bluetooth activated to enable this change.
What can you do?
Activate Bluetooth: Make sure that Bluetooth is switched on on your smartphone before you teach in the Door/window contact II [+M].
How can I manually switch from Zigbee to Matter or vice versa on my Door/window contact II [+M]?
By default, the Door/window contact II [+M] is in Matter mode (via Thread). If you want to teach the device to a Bosch Smart Home controller via Zigbee, the installation assistant of the Bosch Smart Home app will ask you for Bluetooth authorization to automatically switch the device to Zigbee mode.
However, if you want to manually switch your Door/window contact II [+M] from Matter mode to Zigbee or vice versa, please follow these steps:
1. press and hold the button on the device for at least 5 seconds.
2. wait until the status LED of the Door/window contact II [+M] starts to flash.
- If the LED flashes orange, the switch from Thread to Zigbee was successful.
- If the LED flashes green, the switch from Zigbee to Thread was successful.
With these simple steps, you can change the radio standard of your device as required. If the Door/window contact II [+M] has already been taught to a controller, it must be reset to the factory settings to change the radio standard.
Why is the Door/window contact II [+M] not available in anthracite?
We are currently working on converting our standard products to the [+M] variant. Further products and color variants, such as the Door/window contact II [+M] in anthracite, may follow.
Why do I not see the button on the Door/window contact II [+M] when I have integrated it via the Matter-Bridge?
Reason:
No push-buttons are currently transferred to a Matter system via the Matter Bridge. The push-button function is only transferred when the [+M] product is directly integrated into a Matter system or in the Bosch Smart Home system
What does that mean for you?
No button function: The Bosch Smart Home Matter Bridge does not currently support any buttons.
What can you do?
Bosch Smart Home controller: For the full range of functions, use a Bosch Smart Home controller.
Direct Matter system integration: Integrate the Door/window contact II [+M] directly into your Matter system to be able to use the push-button function in a Matter system.
