AudioPlus
What is Audio+ (sound, requirements, detection, noise, functions, indoor camera, outdoor camera)?
Audio+ is an innovative sound detection feature that enables the Eyes indoor camera II to detect sounds such as the alarm tones of non-smart, conventional smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms, as well as broken windows, and to inform and alert you accordingly. Audio+ is a flexibly bookable subscription.
Which cameras does Audio+ work with (sound, requirements, detection, noise, functions, indoor camera, outdoor camera)?
Audio+ can only be used in combination with an Eyes indoor camera II. Audio+ is purchased as a subscription in your app and is then valid for all Eyes indoor camera IIs in your Bosch Smart Camera app.
Is it possible to test the Audio+ subscription before purchasing (sound, requirements, recognition, noise, functions)?
After booking the Audio+ subscription, the first 14 days are free of charge. You can cancel the subscription at any time during this trial period. After the 14 days, paid use begins automatically.
How can I book Audio+ (sound, requirements, recognition, noise, functions)?
You can book Audio+ directly from your Bosch Smart Camera app. Select "Audio+" in the "Settings" under "Subscriptions" and start the purchase process by clicking on "Get started now!". Then select a payment method (monthly/yearly) and click on "Subscribe to Audio+ now". You will then be forwarded directly to the Apple Appstore or Google Play Store. There you can successfully complete the Audio+ subscription purchase.
How reliable is the detection of alarm sounds from Smoke alarms and CO alarms (sound, requirements, detection, noise, functions)?
Despite careful development and testing procedures, detection cannot always be guaranteed due to the variety of smoke and carbon monoxide warning sounds. The detection of sounds is an additional function, e.g. for recording video clips or notifying other people. The function does not replace the need for people to take action on site. To detect alarms, the camera must be located in the same room as the alarm (without separating doors or walls) and set up at a maximum distance of 6m. When using the optional, intelligent audio analysis functions, correct detection and notification are particularly dependent on Placement of the device, background noise level, duration of the event and network availability. Attention: Comparable events from other sources, e.g. TV, radio, animals, may also be interpreted as an alarm under certain circumstances. Alarm detection is optimized for T3 and T4 alarm signal patterns. You should therefore read the documentation accompanying your alarm to find out whether it emits a T3 or T4 signal pattern. Several simultaneous audible alarms that overlap may not be recognizable as an alarm for the audio analysis function. Test the function of the alarm indicator detection by carrying out a test alarm on your alarm indicator. Repeat the test if you change the position of your camera or the alarm device or if other alarm devices are used.
Is there a requirement for using the Audio+ function on my Eyes indoor camera II (sound, requirements, detection, noise, functions)?
In order to use the Audio+ functions, your Eyes indoor camera II must be powered and switched on (camera head extended) so that the Audio+ function can detect sounds. If the Eyes indoor camera II is switched off or in privacy mode (camera head lowered into the housing), no sound is recorded, which is why no sound detection can take place as part of Audio+.
Can I carry out a test alarm with my non-smart Smoke alarm or CO alarm to test whether the alarm detection works in my home (sound, requirements, detection, noise, functions)?
You can simulate a test alarm with most Smoke alarms and CO alarms. Read the documentation for your alarm device for details on the test alarm for your alarm device model. However, depending on the manufacturer, this test alarm may not produce the same alarm sound as the alarm in an emergency. This means that these test alarms may not correspond to the T3 or T4 signal pattern required for the use of Audio+ or the test alarms may be too short to enable detection by Audio+.
Can I trigger a test alarm with my Bosch Smart Home Smoke alarm and Bosch Smart Home Smoke alarm II to test Audio+ (sound, requirements, detection, noise, functions)?
You can trigger a test alarm with both your Bosch Smart Home Smoke alarm and your Bosch Smart Home Smoke alarm II, which you can use to test the functionality of Audio+.
What happens when my Eyes indoor camera II uses Audio+ to detect the alarm sound of a Smoke alarm or CO alarm (sound, requirements, detection, noise, functions)?
If your Eyes indoor camera II detects the sound of a Smoke alarm or CO alarm when the Audio+ function is switched on, you will receive a push notification on your smartphone. In addition, your indoor camera sounds a visual and acoustic alarm directly on the device. As smoke and CO detection are potentially life-threatening events, this is for your own protection, even if you have deactivated push notifications or the alarm function of the Eyes indoor camera II.
Can I trigger a test alarm with my Bosch Smart Home Twinguard to test Audio+ (sound, requirements, detection, noise, functions)?
You can trigger a test alarm with your Bosch Smart Home Twinguard. However, this test alarm is not recognized by Audio+, as this test alarm tone is not a T3 or T4 alarm signal pattern.
How far away can my Eyes indoor camera II be from the alarm source (Smoke alarm or glass breakage) for it to detect the noise in Audio+ and alert me accordingly (sound, requirements, detection, noise, functions)?
For the detection of warning detectors, the Eyes indoor camera II must be installed in the same room (without separating doors or walls) as the warning detector or the possible source of glass breakage noise at a maximum distance of 6 m.
