360° Indoor Camera - Installation
If the camera cannot establish a connection to your WLAN during start-up, the status LED flashes red/green.
Please check the following points:
- Has the correct network key been entered?
- Is the smartphone in the correct Wi-Fi network?
To do this, check the "WLAN name (SSID)" item in the "Add camera" step
- Does the router allow new connections?
To do this, check the Mac filter in your router
- Is the WLAN signal strength at the camera location sufficient?
If necessary, amplify the signal with a repeater
- Is WPA2 activated in the security settings of your router?
- Are Protected Management Frames (PMF) deactivated/optional?
If the camera cannot establish a connection to our servers during commissioning, the status LED flashes red/blue.
Please check the following points:
- Are your WLAN devices allowed to communicate with each other within your network?
To do this, check the security settings in your router
- Are free IP addresses available in your router?
Note for FritzBox routers: Please delete all unused connections via the web interface.
- Is security or anti-virus software installed on your smartphone?
Please deactivate this software during commissioning.
- Do you have a DS-Lite connection?
In some cases, problems may occur. Please contact your provider to find out whether it is possible to switch to dual stack.
If the customer wants to increase their Wi-Fi range with the help of a repeater, they should give the repeater network a different name and password. The reason for this is that the repeater network and the "router network" are two networks with the same name. The camera would constantly jump back and forth between the networks. It is therefore highly advisable to use different names.
Exception:
Mesh network. Handling the repeater is usually coordinated directly by the router. Normally, the user does not specify an SSID or password here either.
While the camera is restarting, the status LED lights up red continuously. This state should end automatically after 10-15 minutes.
Please check the following points:
- Do you feel a click when you briefly press the reset button?
- o If you do not feel a click, there may be a hardware defect.
- In rare cases, there may be problems with the router settings.
- o If possible, deactivate the AX, AC, N WLAN standard of your router for the time of commissioning.
- o Then restart the camera and router.

Place your 360° indoor camera in a location that is most likely to be walked through. As it has a 360° coverage area, you can also place your 360° indoor camera in the center of a room. Check the image and viewing angle visually via your app and adjust the position of the camera as required.
Please note: In Germany, filming or photographing natural persons requires the explicit consent of the party concerned. This also applies to your visitors, who must be informed by you of the indoor surveillance and should consent to it. Please observe the regulations applicable in your country.
Your app generates a QR code using your SSID (Wi-Fi name), your password and your connection key so that the camera can connect to your home network and the Bosch Cloud. Hold the QR code in front of your camera lens at a distance of around 5-30 cm in normal daylight. As soon as the camera has recognized a correct QR code, you will hear a confirmation tone (Bing) and the camera will light up green continuously. The blue flashing light then indicates that the connection to the Bosch Cloud has been established and as soon as this connection is established, a continuous blue light is displayed for around 30 seconds.
Please note: If the Wi-Fi settings of your router have changed but the camera has not yet been re-learned, a sound signal will be generated to indicate that the connection has not been successful.
ImportantPlease do not add a new camera, but use the "Camera settings >> More" in your Bosch Smart Home Camera app and adjust the W-LAN settings accordingly.
If the camera cannot read the QR code during commissioning, the status LED flashes green.
Please check the following points:
- Is the brightness of your smartphone set to the highest level?
- Did the camera confirm the QR code with a bright sound?
If unexpected problems occur, your camera is set to a special mode and flashes red.
Please check the following points:
- Do not press the reset button while connecting the camera to the power supply.
- If the camera has already acknowledged the QR code with a bright tone, a new update will be downloaded from our servers. This can take up to an hour.
- If the status has not changed after one hour, please disconnect the camera from the power supply for a short time.
In rare cases, the camera may flash blue in the event of unexpected problems.
Please check the following points:
- Please wait approx. one hour
- o If the camera continues to flash blue, please perform a reset.
- In rare cases, there may be problems with the router settings.
- o If possible, deactivate the AX, AC, N WLAN standard of your router for the time of commissioning.
- o Then restart the camera and router.
The following data will not be deleted by resetting the camera using the "Reset" function of the Bosch Smart Camera App:
- Service log files
- Saved rules for day or night settings
- Video recording in the Bosch Cloud
This does not apply to a reset process that was triggered directly on the camera and therefore via the reset button on the device. In this case, only the service log files are retained.
The product is only suitable for use in residential buildings, apartments and rooms with residential-like use and may only be used indoors together with original Bosch Smart Home components.
Any other use is not in accordance with the intended use. Any resulting damage is excluded from liability.
Use a pointed object (e.g. a paper clip) to press the button in the opening above the SD card slot and hold it down until the LED strip on your camera flashes red (after approx. 5 seconds). The camera will then restart automatically.

Expanding the memory by using a larger memory card does not bring any advantages at the moment - neither in terms of speed nor with regard to the existing product features.
If you have already removed the memory card from the device, please note when inserting it that the contacts must be at the top (top view) and visible on the front of the card so that it snaps into the memory card slot as intended.
