My Bosch home appliance cannot be integrated into my Bosch Smart Home system. What can I do (Home Connect, energy manager, WLAN, access app, requirements, installation, compatibility)?
Please check the following points first.
- Is your device connected via WLAN and working via Home Connect?
- Is your device registered in your Home Connect user account?
- Is the energy manager activated?
- Is your Bosch household appliance on the compatibility list?
If the problem persists, please contact ourCustomer service.
Important: Home Connect must be available and working.
Which Home Connect functions can I use in the Bosch Smart Home app (home appliances, remote start, automations, start times, end times)?
The following functionalities are currently available to you:
- Direct start from a distance (remote start).
- Countdown to the start of the program.
- Countdown to the end of the program.
- Change the end time within the possible end times (only for dishwashers).

Which household appliances can I integrate (Home Connect, requirements, automations)?
At present, you can already conveniently integrate appliances from the washing, drying, baking, cooling and dishwashing areas as well as coffee machines into the Bosch Smart Home system and thus also into its scenarios and automation. Further integrations of Home Connect products from the household appliance sector are currently being tested.
What are the requirements for integrating my Bosch home appliance (including HOME Connect, installation)?
You first need a well-functioning WLAN connection (you may need a WLAN repeater to amplify the signal).
Furthermore, your Bosch home appliance must be networkable with Home Connect and should already be registered via a Home Connect user account.
I have started my Bosch home appliance. Why can't I see this status in the Smart Home app (Home Connect, Settings, Information, Remote start)?
Please check whether the remote start has been activated on your home appliance. The domestic appliance must not be opened again.
If the connection is interrupted, for example by opening the door of a dishwasher, the remote start must be reactivated. If this does not happen, your Bosch Smart Home system will unfortunately not be able to access your household appliance.
Why don't the Bosch Smart Home app and the Home Connect app have the same range of functions (home appliances, information, functions)?
Your Bosch Smart Home app provides you with the basic functions of your Bosch home appliances for status information and control. The Home Connect app provides you with all the additional functions of the respective devices.
What is the difference between Bosch Smart Home and Home Connect (home appliances, information)?
Bosch Smart Homeaims to interoperably link different areas of home automation and thus offer a holistic solution.
Home Connectis specifically and deeply geared towards the household appliances sector.
The Home Connect devices will be successively integrated into the Bosch Smart Home system (but will continue to exist separately) and will be an important part of the cross-divisional system.
Where can I find further information on data protection for Home Connect devices (household appliances)?
Further information on the topic of "Data protection for Home Connect devices" can be found on the Home Connect website at the following linkLink.
Why can't I change the start time as I wish (household appliances, Home Connect, settings)?
Various framework conditions are set here:
1. you cannot change the start time beyond the time window set on the device.
2. the wash program can only be postponed within a time window of 6 hours, for example, to keep your laundry fresh and effectively prevent odours from forming.
I can't control my Bosch home appliance with the Bosch Smart Home app. What can I do (Home Connect, access app, connection, range)?
Please check the following points:
- Have you activated the energy manager for remote start on your appliance? With your washing machine or dryer, for example, proceed as follows: Select program >> Press Start >> Activate remote start. The following steps are required for your dishwasher: Select program >> Activate remote start >> Press Start.
- Is your device connected via WLAN and does it have a sufficiently strong signal?
Important:Only the following functionalities are currently available:
- Direct start from a distance.
- Countdown to the start of the program.
- Countdown to the end of the program.
- Change the end time within the possible end times (only for dishwashers).
- The time can be adjusted forwards; the start cannot be canceled.
It is also important to check whether Home Connect is available and working (check in the Home Connect app).
If you have any further questions or problems with the integration, accessibility or use of the device, please do not hesitate to contact ourCustomer supportreport.
How can I reset my Bosch home appliance to the factory settings (Home Connect, Reset)?
To do this, switch to the relevant appliance settings using the controls on your household appliance. On your dishwasher, for example, you will find this function under the menu item 'Reset to factory settings'. For your washing machine or tumble dryer, the menu item is 'Network settings >> Reset'.
If you have any further questions, please contact Home Connect customer service directly. You can find the contact information under the followingLink.
What preparations always need to be made for a remote start of my Bosch home appliances (Home Connect, settings, requirements)?
Before a Home Connect household appliance can be controlled and viewed remotely, the following steps must be carried out:
1. loading the machine with household items and all necessary additives (washing powder, detergent, etc.).
2. active locking of the machine.
3. switch on the energy manager.
4. press the "Remote Start" button.
5. the end time can now be set remotely (via the app) flexibly within the end time set on the device (e.g. 24 h).
Note: Steps 3 and 4 depend on the individual operating functions of the device types and may not be necessary.
Can I interrupt the remote start at any time (Home Connect, Bosch home appliances, connection, settings)?
Yes, any manual intervention on the appliance itself (e.g. opening the machine) interrupts the scheduled remote start - this is a safety function. A shift outside the set time window or a status query and / or setting via the app are then no longer possible.
