Software update information
Bosch Smart Home system
18 September 2024
NEW FUNCTIONS
- New service: Central heating control
The new “central heating control” service allows the room temperature control of several rooms to be combined with a relay, thereby ensuring more efficient control of the central heating. The system uses the set temperature to control the heating of all rooms, and switches the central heating on or off as required. You can find it under “Services” > “Climate manager” > “Central heating control”.
- Find & filter automations (Android)
Automations can be searched for by name and filtered by various criteria. This means that all automations relating to a specific device or a specific state can be displayed, for example. The feature will be implemented and rolled out in iOS at a later date.
- Twist
The Twist can now also be assigned automations. When an automation is triggered manually via the Twist, the conditions within the automation are ignored.
IMPROVEMENTS

- Critical information
- In case of an alarm, the iPhone or iPad will now sound even if it is muted or focus is activated. This must be explicitly allowed.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- SingleKey ID – Change of provider within the Bosch group
- Due to changes within the group, the SingleKey ID will no longer be provided by Bosch.IO GmbH, but by Robert Bosch GmbH.
- For customers, nothing will change during use. You can continue to use your SingleKey ID to sign up for all digital offers from Bosch and
- its partners. The contents of the Terms of Use and Privacy Statements remain unaffected; only the contractual partner has changed.
- System requirements
- As of this release, an iOS version higher than iOS 15 is required for the Bosch Smart Home app. The current app can still be used on these devices. However, you will no longer receive any updates.
- iOS 18
- As of this release, the Bosch Smart Home app supports iOS 18.
- When you update your iOS device to iOS 18, our previous widgets for scenarios and open doors & windows will no longer be supported by the operating system and will therefore be deleted for technical reasons. New widgets that have been supported since iOS 17 can be added for the Bosch Smart Home app. Previous widgets are still available on devices with iOS 17 and older.
