NEW FUNCTIONS

  • Smart Home controller II - Matter

    This software update makes the following Bosch Smart Home devices , Matter -compatible, registered on the Bosch Smart Home controller II:
    • Motion detector
    • Dimmer
    • Radiator thermostat, Radiator thermostat II
    • Room thermostat, Room Thermostat II
    • Underfloor-heating room thermostat, Room thermostat II 230 V
    • Relay
    • Door/window contact, Door/window contact II plus
    • Smart plug, Smart plug compact

  • These devices can thus be controlled using the current functions of the Matter standard in Matter systems and associated apps and connected with products from other manufacturers.
    The respective provider provides information on integration and use.
    It is activated in Bosch Smart Home in the app via "More" > "Partners" > "matter".
  • New "temperature fall" service
    • The new “temperature fall” service in the climate manager now also allows ventilation detection without door/window contacts. The heating in the room is automatically turned down if the temperature falls.

  • Yale Linus® Smart Lock L2
    • The Yale Linus Smart Lock L2 is now supported in our system to the same extend as the previous model.

IMPROVEMENTS

  • General
    • Latest security updates for the Smart Home controller/ Smart Home controller II and the Bosch Smart Home app.

  • Firmware
    • New firmware is available for Room Thermostat II and Room thermostat II 230 V which contains various small bug fixes.

  • Apps
    • When integrating smart cameras into the Bosch Smart Home app, the load time at app start has been shortened noticeably.

  • Room temperature control
    • For devices with room temperature control, product-specific help is now available in the app to better explain the functions and navigation.

  • Schedules in automations
    • Time plans for the room temperature can now be set as an action or changed in an automation.

  • Apple HomeKit – Light/shutter control II (used as shutter control – Venetian blind)
    • HomeKit scenarios which change the blind height and the tilt angle of a shutter are now supported.

BUG FIXES

  • Radio range extension (ZigBee)
    • In systems with many Bosch Smart Home devices which can be used to extend the range (Dimmer, Light/shutter control II, Room thermostat II 230 V, Relay, smart lamps, smart plug Smart plug compact) problems could occur when installing new devices. This issue has been resolved.

  • iOS app
    • After expansion of the start time setting for schedules, functions sometimes were not visible. This issue has been resolved.
    • There could be display errors on the favorites page for the Universal switch and universal switch II. This issue has been resolved.
    • In rare cases, the integration of the Bosch Smart Home Eyes indoor camera II into the Bosch Smart Home app was incorrect. This issue has been resolved.
    • iOS widgets were not updated when switching Smart Home controllers. This issue has been resolved.
    • A reset via the system settings was not always successful. This issue has been resolved.

  • Android app
    • With the Light/shutter control II (used as shutter control control – Venetian blinds), an incorrect device status was displayed in the favorites in rare cases. This issue has been resolved.
    • The display has been optimized for mobile devices with a slim display.
    • With certain messages, the app could crash. This issue has been resolved.

  • Twinguard
    • In very rare cases, it was possible to store and read previous measurement values. This issue has been resolved.

  • Hue lamps
    • Using external switches such as the Hue dimmer switch, Hue lamps can be dimmed to 0% brightness for a short time but remain switched on. This led to incorrect displays and executions of automations. This issue has been resolved.

  • Other minor bug fixes have been resolved.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Privacy Statement
    • The data protection information is updated with this release:
      • New section “3.5.4 Activating Matter Bridge”
      • Additions to section “3.7 storage period: storage periods”.
      • New section “3.8 Supply of personal data”.

  • Bosch Smart Home Cloud – Annulation
    • With this release, technical changes are happening in the back end of the Smart Home Cloud. If you use partners via the Bosch Smart Home Cloud (Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Mercedes MBUX), an update to this release must be carried out. From the end of June, it will be no longer possible to use the Smart Home Cloud for Bosch Smart Home controller and Bosch Smart Home Controller II lower than version 10.21.

  • General
    • Update of various open-source libraries.
    • A number of functions as well as certain improvements and bug fixes will only be available once the controller update and app update have been installed.

Notes on availability:

  • The update for the Smart Home controller will be issued from 14 may 2024.
  • The update for the Smart Home controller is expected to be available to all customers from 15 may 2024.

Smart Home android app

The following version of the Smart Home Android app is issued:

  • 10.21.3508

Notes on availability:

  • The update for the Android Smart Home app is expected to be issued from 03 june 2024.
  • The update for the Android Smart Home app is expected to be issued to all customers from 07 june 2024.

Smart Home iOS app

The following version of the Smart Home iOS app is issued:

  • 10.21.0 (9389)

Notes on availability:

  • The update for the iOS Smart Home app is expected to be issued from 03 june 2024 as an automatic app update.
  • The update for the iOS Smart Home app is expected to be issued to all customers from 03 june 2024 as a manual update.
  • The update for the iOS Smart Home app will be available to all customers from 10 june 2024 as an automatic app update.
