NEW FUNCTIONS

• Apple HomeKit
  
  • The Bosch Smart Home controller / Bosch Smart Home controller II now supports additional devices, which can therefore be integrated into Apple HomeKit:
    • Room thermostat
    • Room thermostat II

  • Note: The data that can be measured via the room thermostat / room thermostat II, such as room temperature and relative humidity, is displayed in Apple HomeKit.
    In the Bosch Smart Home app, the radiator thermostat / room thermostat II can adjust the set temperature for all radiator thermostats in a room. This functionality cannot be mapped in Apple HomeKit.
    • Water alarm

• User-defined “states”
  The new “States” function enables automations to be better adapted to specific needs and everyday situations. Individual “states” can be activated/deactivated in the app and can be used as triggers, conditions and actions in automations.
  Available in the app under: “Scenarios” > “States”.

IMPROVEMENTS

• Firmware
  • Relay
    New firmware (v2.07.00) containing various bug fixes and improvements is available for the relay:
    • Fixes a bug where the first key press after disabling the child lock was invalid.
    • The identification behaviour for Apple HomeKit has been changed.

  • Smart plug
    New firmware (PSM 2.22.8) containing the latest security updates is available for the smart plug.
  • In-wall light control
    New firmware (BSM 1.22.8) containing the latest security updates is available for the in-wall light control.
  • Radiator thermostat II
  • Smart plug / Smart plug compact
    Improvements and enhancements have been made for the smart plug / smart plug compact:
    • An option has been added to define the behaviour after a power cut.

  • Relay
    When configuring the switch for the relay, the “no switch” option is now available in addition to “rocker switch” and “button”.
  • Universal switch and dimmer
    The dimmer can now also be controlled using a universal switch or universal switch II.
  • Twist and light/shutter control II
    The opening position of the light/shutter control II (used as a shutter control) can now also be controlled as shutters or a sun blind using the Twist.
  • Schedules
    The user interface for creating and editing schedules has been revised for the following devices: in-wall light control / light/shutter control II (used as a light control), relay (used in on/off mode), smart plug / smart plug compact.
  • iOS app
    The QR code scanner has been improved.
  • General
    Latest security updates for the Smart Home controller / Smart Home controller II and the app.

BUG FIXES

• Smart Home controller / Smart Home controller II:
  • In a small number of cases, the Smart Home controller could not receive an update (even with a functioning Internet connection). This issue has been resolved.
  • In rare cases, issues were encountered when transferring the system data from the Smart Home controller to the Smart Home controller II. This issue has been resolved.

• Radiator thermostat / radiator thermostat II
  • In some cases, radiator thermostats were set to an incorrect temperature when they were in manual mode and a window was opened or closed. This issue has been resolved.
  • In some cases, thermostats could not be switched off if the assigned room was in a heating break. This issue has been resolved.

• Radiator thermostat II
  • In some cases, the radiator thermostat II could not be accessed after a firmware update and had to be reconfigured. This issue has been resolved.

• Controlling the room temperature
  • In cases where boost mode was supposed to be deactivated via a scenario, this could not be done in certain device configurations. This issue has been resolved.

• Smart plug compact
  • A firmware update for the smart plug compact that was not installed led to problems when installing subsequent updates. This issue has been resolved.

• Android app
  • Light/shutter control II
    The light/shutter control II can now be used to control shutters again via the Android app.
  • Radiator thermostat / radiator thermostat II / room thermostat / room thermostat II, underfloor heating room thermostat / room thermostat II 230 V
    The function for copying schedules to other rooms sometimes did not work if there were too many rooms with radiator thermostats in the system. This issue has been resolved.
  • Smart tips
    Users were still receiving “smart tips” even though they had deactivated this option in the app. This issue has been resolved.

• iOS app
  • Scenarios
    For a short time, the “Back” button was missing on iPads when creating a new scenario using the “Room temperature” action and configuring it by selecting a user-defined schedule. This issue has been resolved.
  • Motion detector, Twinguard, Twist
    There was sometimes a display issue with these devices when performing a signal strength test.
  • iPad
    A number of display elements on the iPad related to room temperature control have been corrected.
  • General
    The last update used the standard iOS sounds for notifications rather than the Bosch sounds. This issue has been resolved.

• Apple HomeKit
  The room thermostat II 230 V was not displayed in Apple HomeKit and could not be controlled when it was in a heating break.
• App in general
  • Room names on device tiles within a room are no longer displayed as the room name is already visible in the title.
  • Various display errors when operating in landscape format have been corrected.
  • Common causes of crashes have been fixed.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• General
  • Update of various open-source libraries.
  • Some functions and certain improvements and bug fixes will only be available after you have installed the controller and app updates.
  • With an app in version 10.17 or older, it is currently not possible to start data transfer from a Smart Home Controller to a Smart Home Controller II. This will only be possible again with the upcoming update to version 10.18. We apologize for any inconvenience.
