NEW FUNCTIONS

• New devices in Apple HomeKit
  
  Bosch Smart Home controller:
  The Apple HomeKit and Bosch Smart Home family is growing.
  The new smart relay can now be integrated into Apple HomeKit. This enables it to be combined with additional HomeKit-compatible devices from other manufacturers.
  
  Bosch Smart Home controller II:
  The first Bosch Smart Home devices have been enabled for Apple HomeKit. Apple HomeKit can be activated on the Bosch Smart Home Controller II under “More” → “Partners”. The following devices are currently available: motion detector, smoke alarm II, door/window contact II and door/window contact II plus, as well as the Twinguard and smart plug compact.
  
  We will let you know at www.bosch-smarthome.com or in our community as soon as it is possible to integrate further products in Apple HomeKit.

• Smart relay
  
  The smart relay is now available in both control modes (on/off and pulse) in scenarios and automations.
  In on/off mode, the purpose of use “Standard” or “Lamp” can also be selected in order to control the relay with other lamps in the same room or use it in the motion light service, for example.

IMPROVEMENTS

• Radiator thermostat II
  New firmware (3.05.05) containing various bug fixes and improvements is available for the radiator thermostat II:
  
  • Stability improvements during the update process
  • Improvements to the heating algorithm with the aim of reducing temperature overshoot
  • Faster heating phase with improved valve percentage calculation and more frequent valve openings when heating is required
  • Prevention of unnecessary valve movements
  • Correction of the problem relating to resynchronisation with the room thermostat II
  • Various other minor bug fixes

• Light/shutter control II
  New firmware (2.06) containing various bug fixes and improvements is available for the light/shutter control II:
  
  • When using for shutter control, “On/Off” is now the default setting in the configuration process
  • The device can now be reset to the factory settings using the connected switch (press 12 times in 10 seconds)
  • Calibration can be stopped by pressing the button
  • General improvements in performance

• Smart plug compact
  New firmware (2.7) containing various bug fixes and improvements is available for the smart plug compact:
  
  • The repeater function has been improved
  • The smart plug compact can now be used as a repeater for 32 additional devices

• Universal switch
  Devices can be switched on and off using the same switch.

• Android app
  
  • The display has been optimised for small tablets and foldable smartphones.
  • The app can now be used in multi-window mode.

• The latest security updates for your Smart Home controller and the apps.

BUG FIXES

• Smart Home controller – Apple HomeKit
  
  • Problems sometimes arose with Apple HomeKit when a new room thermostat II was configured. This issue has been resolved.
  • Incorrect behaviour of the Bosch Smart Home devices with the radio frequency 868 MHz following a controller update has been rectified. The devices can be reached again after operation on the device, and the status is displayed correctly.

• Universal switch
  
  • When using the universal switch as a trigger in automations, configured with a long press, holding the button down triggered the automation repeatedly instead of just once.

• Fixing of common causes of crashes.

Apps

• Android
  
  • The tile display for smart lamps now works reliably again on tablets.

• iOS
  
  • The time zone can now be changed again.
  • General app performance has been improved.

MORE INFORMATION

• Update of various open source libraries.
• Some functions and certain improvements and bug fixes are only available once the controller update and app update have been installed.

Smart Home controller

The following versions of the Smart Home controller are issued:

Notes on availability:

• The update for the Smart Home controller will be issued from 16 May 2023 .
• The update for the Smart Home controller is expected to be available to all customers from 17 May 2022 .

Smart Home android app

The following version of the Smart Home android app is issued:

Notes on availability:

• The update for the android Smart Home app is expected to be issued from 24 May 2023 .
• The update for the android Smart Home app is expected to be issued to all customers from 31 May 2023 .

Smart Home iOS app

The following version of the Smart Home iOS app is issued:

• 10.14.0 (9240)

Notes on availability:

• The update for the iOS Smart Home app is expected to be issued from 24 May 2023 as an automatic app update.
• The update for the iOS Smart Home app is expected to be issued to all customers from 24 May 2023 as a manual update.
• The update for the iOS Smart Home app will be available to all customers from 31 May 2023 as an automatic app update.
